Censorship? In MY Facebook? It's more likely than you think.

Facebook is preventing me from posting links to this blog. They are calling it spam. It's literally existed for two days, I posted it on my wall and in a total of one group, but yup. Spam.

I'm sure I don't need to explain to anyone why this is happening, it should be obvious. I'm not even incredibly surprised that it's happening, just surprised that it's happening so fast. It is obviously not in the Zuckerbourgeoisie's interests to permit communists to organize online, but making the censorship too obvious would just lead to a massive exodus. Anyway, so long as we're posting our dank maymays on their site, the Zuckerbourgeoisie can still harvest data about us, still market ads to us, still have the power to censor us when we say something they just can't abide.

But if we move our posts off Facebook, as I just began to do, the Zuckerbourgeoisie can't do that anymore. If we move it to a site without Facebook logins and plugins, the Zuckerbourgeoisie can't even harvest our data about it. This makes Mark a very, very sad little creep. Which is why Facebook is deliberately confusing this site with spam, because it's a kernel of off-Facebook communist organization. Even just a kernel of that is impermissible, apparently. It's like anti-antifa, but for real. Antifa attempts to shut down any and all Nazi organizing, because it inevitably leads to genocide, which is clearly against most people's class interests. Facebook therefore attempts to shut down any and all communist organizing, because communist organizing leads to socialism, which is clearly against the Zuckerbourgeoisie's class interests.

Whatever other dumb shit Trump gets up to, he and the Republicans clearly uphold the correct line on fucking with Silicon Valley. To deal with liberalism so overwhelming, I've long felt in my gut before I understood in my brain that united front tactics against it might be necessary. Not a united front with the fash, of course - they're already being coddled by the Zuckerbourgeoisie, and I expect that to continue - but a united front with conservatives, who are also being censored by this monstrosity. They are asking the most pertinent questions in Congress on this issue, the questions most dangerous to Creepy Mark. If Facebook is coming for us communists, they'll be coming for the conservatives too, and it's only a matter of time before they take it too far and engender a backlash they can't even imagine.

But that backlash is in the future, and we need an answer to this now. I already had an answer in mind before this happened, but the fact that it's already happened has sped up my timetable considerably. Social media like Facebook, Twitter, and (if one can think back that far) Myspace arose to take the place of an older form of social media: message boards. Message boards as a concept predate the internet; the earliest ones could function over phone lines. They were the dominant form of social media at the dawn of the internet age, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and I was in high school. It was corporate monopoly that made them irrelevant, not an inability to do the basic job of connecting people. As it so happens, I used to run one for my friends and I a long time ago, and I have the skills necessary to build and run one again. (A tiny handful of you may even recognize elements of this blog's color scheme as a shoutout to the days of the Fora Augusta, but I digress.)

Looking at our enemies the fascists, they have long recognized the utility of message boards in organizing in the face of a society trying to censor your beliefs. Stormfront, for all its obvious wickedness, was good praxis if you're fash. The chans, especially 8chan and 4chan's /pol/ board, still are good praxis for the fash.

So I am going to build a message board for communists. I am going to staff it with communists, host it on a service that does not mind communists, and it will be for the express purpose of organizing communism. I am going to attempt to make it more than just about communism; Facebook is a full-spectrum replacement for social interaction designed by psychologists to be deliberately addictive, so I doubt I can make a message board more engaging than that. But I can, hopefully, make it a place of respite for us. I don't see that we have a whole lot of choice. I hope my friends will join me there when I build it. And I hope you who are reading this bookmark this site, tell your comrades about it, and help me Streisand Effect this blog so big that the Zuckerbourgeoisie regret ever messing with us.

Well, that or go to Parler. But nobody wants to go to Parler. Not even the conservatives want to go to Parler, they just make accounts there to prove they're hardcore.
